The optical motion sensor OBS … was developed for the detection of advance and rotary movements in a wide range of materials with diameters of 1 mm or more.
The sensor is positioned at a distance of 30 mm above the surface awaiting detection and motion is reliably detected at a speed of up to 1 m/sec. A stationary state, motion or the exceeding of typical motion speeds are signalled using a sensitivity setting and NC / NO function. Brief stationary states of up to one second, which arise during cyclic motion, are reliably suppressed using an adjustable pulse extension.
